Red Earth Collective awarded funding to expand StereoHype Social

Red Earth Collective has secured new funding from The National Lottery Community Fund and the Heart of England Inclusive Communities Fund to extend StereoHype Social until 2026.

StereoHype Social is a fortnightly meet-up for creatives with lived experienced of mental health problems where they can share their work, collaborate, learn, and build friendships.

It has been running for nearly two years in venues across Birmingham, with funding from the Peoples Health Trust, and is currently based at the Warehouse Café in the city centre.

During that time nearly forty people have been supported to create new work, with the help of our team and with professional artists including singer Call Me Unique, poet Su Brown and rapper Trademark Blud.

New funding gives allows us to continue the fortnightly gatherings and to also provide additional sessions for people with more acute mental health needs who are living in the community or leaving hospital or secure mental health care.

We will be delivering new sessions in the Autumn and if you, a friend, or family member are interested in joining either group please email us helloredearth@gmail.com
